Welcome to the author website of Maggie Mooha

Romance… adventure… the sweep of history

Maggie’s books have a strong dose of reality in them and are not “just a romance”. They also include real events and people who lived during that time…

I loved this book, including: the attention to detail on historic lives and events, Elizabeth’s spirit as she embraces a new future that could be possible with suffrage, and the intense emotion between Elizabeth and Darcy. Besides the expected love story, the depth of feeling around the Titanic tragedy was intense. I highly recommend the book to those who love P&P variations.

This is now one of my favorite Pride and Prejudice variations. Darcy falls for Elizabeth Bennet, a staunch suffragette. Incredible adventures follow.

Mr. Darcy and the Suffragette places Elizabeth and crew in a new century, dealing with “modern” customs and technology. What hasn’t changed—Mooha again writes such compelling action and dialog that it’s impossible to put the book down. Readers beware—you might need to disappear for a few hours of pure reading enjoyment.

Pride and Prejudice in another place and time! The time is the early twentieth century. Lizzie is a shopgirl and suffragette, Darcy is a member of the old guard and Does Not Understand. The author has done a superb job of bringing both the era and the characters to life and reflecting the attitudes of 1912. And did I mention the Titanic is involved? All in all, a fun read. I hope the author will continue her Elizabeth and Darcy series and look forward to her next installment.
