A Tale of a Disappearing Way of Life
The Lion and the Swan takes you into a historical fantasy where a princess from the northern isles (probably Scotland) is captured and sold into slavery somewhere between the steppes of Central Asia and the Middle East. The novel is the story of people who seem to be opposites, but in character, are very much alike. There is a lot of sexual tension in this book, and it is quite delicious. I also think the author’s use of metaphor was outstanding. If you want a book to transport you to a new, romantic, and sensual world filled with adventure, this is the book for you. Highly recommend.
